Built for how clinicians actually learn

No memorization tests. No arbitrary deadlines. Just a structured, evidence-based pathway designed to produce real clinical readiness.

Competency first

Assessment evaluations measure genuine learner growth and clinical readiness — not the ability to pass a multiple-choice exam under pressure.

Facility friendly

Standardize education across departments and support the documented-competency expectations that Joint Commission, DNV, and AAAHC surveyors look for.

Available anywhere, anytime

24/7 online access means you can train between shifts, from home, or wherever works for your schedule — in all 50 states and internationally.

A full year to complete

Proven track record

More than 8,000 clinicians certified since 2015. When a program has been trusted by clinicians for more than a decade, that matters.

Certified Sedation Registered Nurse™

The CSRN™ is a program credential awarded upon successful completion of the Sedation Certification course. It demonstrates that the holder has met a rigorous, competency-based standard for safe sedation practice. Common questions, clear answers

No. The CSRN™ is a specialty program credential, not an ANA/ANCC national board certification. It is designed to support safe clinical practice, facility standardization, and alignment with accreditation expectations — and is used by nurses and facilities in all 50 states.
You have one full year from your purchase date to complete all 10 modules. Once you complete the course, your CSRN™ credential is valid for two years from your completion date.
No. The program uses a competency-based model — you demonstrate readiness through module quizzes and guided case-based evaluations rather than a single high-stakes final exam. This approach better reflects real clinical judgment.
The course is designed for licensed healthcare professionals including Registered Nurses, physicians, dentists, Physician Assistants, and other licensed providers who administer or monitor moderate or procedural sedation. The platform is available in all 50 U.S. states as well as internationally.
The Joint Commission does not approve or accredit individual courses — your facility's own policy defines what satisfies its sedation-competency requirement. This program is built to be the documented education and assessed competency that such a policy calls for: 10 contact hours of CE approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, a scored competency assessment, and a verifiable certificate with a roster your educator can export for surveyors.
Absolutely. The Facility Course is built specifically for department-wide or facility-wide enrollment. Contact us at info@sedation.education or call 1-865-269-4616 to discuss volume pricing and group access.
Yes. Healthy Visions is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #CEP 17185, and this course awards 10 contact hours on completion. Contact hours follow the California Board of Registered Nursing’s definition (16 CCR §1450: at least 50 minutes of participation per contact hour).
